      "Services for Pfc. Phillip R. Baily, killed in action March 13 in Vietnam, were held Saturday at Ridgeville Community Church. Baily was the son of Mrs. William Mounts and Emmor T. Baily, both of Lebanon. Baily entered the service July 16, 1968 and was serving at Dahl Tieng with Co. C., 2nd Battalion, 26th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, at the time of his death. He was a 1967 garduate of Lebanon High School.
      In addition to his parents, survivors include two brothers and a sister, paternal grandfather Emmor D. Baily, and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Zech, all of Lebanon.
      Funeral arrangements were handled by the Oswald Funeral Home. Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery."

      "The Franklin area suffered its seventh loss in Vietnam with the death of Army Sergenat Floyd Edward Barber last Wednesday, May 28. ...
      " Sergeant Barber was voluntarily serving his third tour of duty in Vietnam.  He was injured twice on his second tour and was holder of two Purple Hearts.  He was serving with the 15th Engineer Company near Pleiku."

      "Military services are being arranged for Sgt. Floyd Edward Barber, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Barber of 8508 Crosley Road near Springboro, who was reported killed in Vietnam last Wednesday.
      Sgt. Barber, on his third tour of duty in Vietnam, had been wounded twice on his secont toud. Following the previous injuries, Sgt. Barber received two Purple Hearts.
      He was serving with the 15th Engineer Co. L.E. near the town of Pleiku.
      Sgt. Barber enlisted after attending Springboro Hich School four years ago.
      He is survived by his parents; five brothers, Thomas, Ronald, David, Timothy and Billy; two sisters, Susan and Mary Ellen, all at home; and grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Lewis Barber of McArthur and Mr. and Mrs. Othar Harper of Mt. Vernon, Ky.
      Military services will be held at a later date. Uglesby Funeral Home of Franklin is in charge of the arrangements."

      "A former Franklin resident and once a student at Lemon Monroe High School was killed Monday in the crash of a Navy EC-121 spy plane at Da Nang, Vietnam.
      Navy Specialist first class John M. Birch who once made his home at 633 Middletown Pike, was serving as radio operator aboard the craft, which faltered during a landing approach and crashed in flames into a hanger.
      Birch was one of 22 killed in the crash.
      The sailor was the son of Mrs. Nora hopkins. She moved to Florida about three years ago.
      No details on services have been announced."
