This Indenture made the twenty first day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven between Ralph Mount and Hannah Mount his wife of the County of Warren in the State of Ohio of the first part, and Enoch A. Ross of the County of Warren and State of Ohio of the second part witnesseth; That the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty three dollars of lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land lying situate and being in the County of Warren and State of Ohio being part of Survey No. 3795 entered in the name of John Taylor situate on the waters of Todds Fork named Taylors fork in the county aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a Sassafras bearing N.8-1/2°E 9 links corner to Thomas Mount thence with his line S45°E 170 poles to 3 hickories bearing S13E 42 links, N13W 19-1/2 links and N44E 29 links thence S43°.9’W 46 poles to a stake a sugar tree and gum thence N45°W 138-1/4 poles to an Elm Thence N85W. 44-1/2 poles to a stake an Elm bearing S45E 12 links thence N45E 74-1/2 poles to the beginning containing 51 acres 3 roods (?rods?) 17 poles be the same more or less Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining; and the reversions and reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim or demand whatever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said premises above particularly mentioned and described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ralph Mount doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators covenant and grant to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said party of the first part are lawfully seized in fee of the aforesaid granted premises that they are free from all incumbrances; that they have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said party of the second part aforesaid; and that he will and his heirs executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against all lawful demands of all persons In witness whereof the said Ralph Mount and Hannah his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. State of Ohio, Warren County: On the twenty first day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Ralph Mount and Hannah his wife the granters [sic] named in the above deed of conveyance personally appeared before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said county and severally acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein expressed. And the said Hannah having been made Known to the contents of said deed by reading the same in her hearing and being by me examined separate and apart from her husband declared that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord without fear or coercion of her husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and sealing thereof.
