Wesley Chapel Cemetery Restoration and Workshop
Friday, June 3, 2016

Sponsored by the Warren County Genealogical Society

The 8th annual Cemetery Restoration Clinic was a great success with over 30 participants including a number of descendants of those buried in the cemetery. Walt and Micki Walters from the Graveyard Groomer presented an outstanding program.  We are grateful for the time and effort devoted to the workshop by chairman Terry Easton for the Warren County Genealogical Society and the support for the workshop provided by Bruce Barricklow as well as the trustees and employees of Harlan Township.

The primary purpose of the clinic was to educate those attending.  In the morning, the clinic presented graphic demonstrations on suitable restoration techniques to deal with various problems experienced in older cemeteries and provided commentary on the cause of those problems both in the past and continuing today. In the afternoon, those attending the clinic had the opportunity to put those techniques to use, with varying amounts of work done on over 40 different gravestone in the cemetery. Each participant received a heavily illustrated 162 page workbook covering all of the topics addressed during the clinic.  Those who weren't able to attend may purchase a copy of the workbook from the Warren County Genealogical Society [513 695 1444 or [email protected]] for only $20 plus $2 shipping and handling. Ohio residents should add 6 3/4% sales tax.
