| "Justin Rich is the 15 year old young man that was the driving force behind the work done at the cemetery. Justin is part of Boyscout Troop 155 from Clarksville and approached the Washington Township Trustees in 2010 for a community service project. The cemetery restoration was part of his Eagle Scout Project. Justin's dad, Scott Rich, is the Scout master for this troop and was an integral part of the project, as well. Justin did an outstanding job of coordinating efforts with volunteer labor and the township regarding material needs and completing the work. Many of the boyscouts from troop 155 volunteered time towards the project, as well as some folks from Olive Branch United Methodist Church. With the re-dedication on November 12, 2011, Washington Township residents and descendents of those buried could, once again, be proud of Olive Branch Cemetery and the historical significance to our community." - submitted by Scott Hagemeyer |
