  SCOTT ROW
on 21 Feb 2006, Richard Kinkead writes,
"The photo [on the left] shows what I call
"Scott Row" at Fellowship Cemetery. It holds the parents, a brother, a sister and two infants of my great great grandmother Rebecca Foster Scott Kinkead, all in a line. The rest of her Scott family is buried at the cemetery in South Lebanon (Union?)."

L. J. S. S. [no other markings]

on 14 Feb 2006, Richard Kinkead writes,
"I believe that the "mystery" stone at Fellowship marked L.J.S.S. is that of Jerusha D. Kinkead, misspelled Gerusha in the Warren Warren County Cemetery Records Volume 3. I believe this for the following two reasons:

  1. The stone's position between the clearly-marked stone of her brother, John Townsend Kinkead, and the obelisk of her grandparents, Nicholas and Rhoda Scott
  2. The letter "J" in the inscription, which may well stand for "Jesus," but may also stand for "Jerusha."

These two children's parents, Robert Willis Kinkead and Rebecca Foster Scott, went west in 1868 to join Rebecca's sisters, Abiah Scott Armstrong and Sarah Scott Melville, in Chariton, Lucas County, Iowa, where they are buried. Their sixth child, Florence Scott Kinkead, died in infancy as well, and is buried with her parents in Chariton. The three children who lived were Katherine, Sarah Elizabeth and Robert L., my ggf. Much of this is detailed in the SCOTT book I placed on the Warren County Genealogical Society shelf."

Jonathan Smith his wife, Maria Smith
born Mar. 6, 1831 [see below] born Dec. 21, 1841
died Sep. 5, 1905 Aug. 4, 1928

[from John Newbright 11 May 2006:
Jonathan Smith was my maternal great grandfather.
My records indicate that Jonathan Smith was born Mar. 6 1839 instead of Mar. 6 1831. Jonathan was the second child of John D. Smith and Clarinda Spencer who were married July 1st 1835 in Warren Co. Ohio. Clarinda Spencer was born Apr 19 1817 and as such would have been only 14 years old when her second son was born. The first son David Smith was born May 9 1836.
Also census reports( 1860-1870-1880-1900 Warren Co.) are consistent with the birth date of 1839 for Jonathan Smith.
If you view the tombstones , in the Smith area , you will see they are the same design, indicating that they were purchased and installed at a later date .]
