General Information

This page is intended to provide a place to record census transcriptions which are submitted to the Warren County OhGenWeb site. If there is no link to the above census years then no data has yet been submitted for that census. Your contribution would be appreciated, even if it is only one family on one page of the census.

I have read that

I do not know if any of the original census records records still exist for Warren County.

We are fortunate in Southwestern Ohio that the Warren County Genealogical Society and the Warren County Historical Society both have a complete set of census microfilms for Warren County. In addition, the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library is one of the few libraries in the United States which has all census microfilms for all states for all years.

Each census was supposed to completed in a given length of time and record the required information as of a specified "Enumeration Date" rather than the date that the household was visited. For more details see the Enumerator Instructions that have been placed on line by the University of Minnesota

The enumerator was supposed to record the information for all members of the household who were alive on the "Enumeration Date" even though they may have passed away by the time the enumerator visited the household. Age was supposed to be "as of their last birthday". The age of children under one was recorded in months.
