"My g-great grandfather, Robert Kincade/Kincaid was buried in the cemetery near Ft. Ancient. I have just visited your GenWeb site and found photos of his wife and eldest son's stones, but not his. I would like to offer my photo, taken in the Spring of 2000. As you can see, his stone was in very bad condition."

On 2 Jul 2008, Jo Culberson provided the following additional information:
Robert Kincade, b. Ireland 1780-90, d. 24 May 1842; m. 1809[?] Ruth Johns, b. Pennsylvania 18 Mar 1789, d. 18 Jan 1856. Her parents were James Johns and Catherine Rees/Reece of Chester Co., PA. I know nothing of Robert's parentage.
They lived on a farm in Section 8, T5, R3, Union Twp, Warren Co. and also owned two lots in Morrow. I believe that Robert served in the War of 1812, although I am having trouble specifically documenting that.
Their children (all born in Union Twp) were:

Lavina b. ca. 1813; m. 17 Aug 1838 Joseph Leak
Isaac b. 1814, d after 1875 census; m. 3 Feb 1839 Charlotte Clark
Elizabeth b. ca 1820; d. before 18 May 1842; m. Azariah Pugh (Her father's will indicated she was deceased)
Catharine b. ca 1822; m. John Van Horn
Robert J. b. ca 1828; m. 20 Jun 1858 Amanda M. Sleppy
Hezekiah Thompson b. 1 Dec 1829, d. 12 Dec 1907; m 2 Dec 1857 Mary Frances Wilcox (my great-grandparents)
Julia Ann m. Caleb Trapp

"He is buried next to Rachel Settlemire, whom I have at times found her referred to as Rachel Locke. Do you know if she and William were married? Rachel was William Settlemyre’s 3rd wife, he is my 4th g-grandfather."
