Home-Coming, Ft. Ancient, O, September-1941

We hear the talk of war every where
And droping boms from the airs.
Many a one will meet his doom.
And others left it in despair.

The Ship is loaded with refugees.
That coming from over the sear
Back to the Stars and Stripes
That run by Franklin D.

Now they must Salute the flag
The land of the home of the free
Back to the hills and hollows.
And go to the home coming with me.

O why did you leave this dear spot.
When you was young and gay
Now you welcome home
But you must trust and obey.

So bow to the Stars and Stripes
Land of the home of the free
And be true to your country call
You can go to the home-coming with me.

By Oscar Wilson
Last poem of Oscar.
