      "DOB: September 24, 1865
      "He taught at Cripple Creek High School in Cripple Creek, CO for a number of years (I’ve attached a letter from him on School letterhead to his brother on the occasion of his brother’s wedding). After retiring from teaching he returned to New Cumberland, WV – the place of his birth – and resided well there until his death. (I have the equivalent of 12 copy paper boxes of family history to go through)
      His Great-great-grandfather’s brother, George Ross signed the Declaration of Independence, as did George’s brother-in-law, George Read. Incidentally, George Ross’ nephew John Ross was married to Betsy Griscom, better known as Betsy Ross, creator of our nation’s flag. William Stewart had quite the family background!"

      " Aaron Grady was born 1848 in Benton Township Pike Co.., Ohio. He attended Normal Univertiy at Lebanon, Ohio during the summer of 1870. Prof Aaron Grady was Principal at Special School District No. 6 in Wheelersburg Ohio and Geo Osborn was in charge of Room 2. Mr. Grady became wuperintendent of Sciotoville Ohio schools in September 1876 and finished his teaching career as superintendent of schools in Ludlow Ky. He died in 1911.

      Isabel Todd was born 4 March 1874 in Hogan Township, Dearborn County, Indiana the second eldest of the ten children of John Alexander Todd and Ellen Welhoff. Isabel and two of her sisters and a brother became teachers. She attended NNU in 1894. In 1900 she married John Grimes and they lived on a farm near Grayford , Indiana. They had one son, Robert who would become a teacher and school principal. I am named after Robert, my father’s favorite cousin born just one day before him in 1901. Belle, as she was known in the family, died in 1939.
