we are in the process of building a replica of Hart School at Camp Kern to support the One Room School Program for Camp Kern Campers, to honor my wife and the Miller Family and to preserve an important milestone in America's public education history. Constrution at Camp Kern is scheduled to begin shortly. The building site at Camp Kern is shown in the attached pictures of the parking lot in front of the Country Store at Camp Kern's Pioneer village.

1910 Graduation Photo of Ruby Miller Lollar

contributed 8 Jul 2012 by Nancy Miller Myerholtz

As far as the brick work goes...there is a change between 1910 and today...The only explanation I can think of is that a layer of brick was removed and a new layer put on...I can send photos if you would like. Actually the brick work seems to have been changed before my dad attended the school. The brick work is not clear so I cannot be definite. He was born in 1918 so we are talking about 1925-6. In May, 1926, he was listed as being in the 2nd grade.
I am attaching the photo that has the clearest view of the stone. It is 1910...Katherine's mother's graduation...Ruby Miller Lollar."

I believe these are the words of the marker stone in the front apex
