Mrs. S. J. Young, widow of Capt. Thomas A. Young, in the 47th year of her age, at 9 o'clock P.M., July 16, at the residence of Wm. Burdsal, of consumption. Mrs Young was a sister of Henry Hizar of Ft. Ancient. After marriage, with Mr. Young, residing in Lebanon for several years, when they moved to Paris, Ill., where they have resided since. Mr. Young was a captain in the Federal Army, was wounded in service, and carried a bullet in his body for ten years, which proved to be the cause of his death, six years ago. Since then they have lost two sons, Herbert and Chapley, both very promising young men, by the same fatal disease of which their mother (the last of the family) died. Mr. and Mrs. Young had many warm friends both here and in Paris. The remains of Mrs. Young was sent to Paris by her request and laid with her husband and sons. |
