Margaret (Kephart) Akin
DIED—At her father’s residence in Warren county, Ohio, Mrs.
Margaret L. Akin.
The subject of this memoir was the daughter of Thomas and Mary
Kephart.
In the twenty-first year of her age she was married to J. H.
Akin, and lived in Clarksville, Clinton county, Ohio, until her
death, which occurred August 18, 1849. A few weeks before her death, she
went on a visit to her father. Little did she think she was to return
no more. She was taken ill, lingered a few weeks, growing worse and worse,
until death terminated her sorrows. She left her husband with two small
children to mourn their irreparable loss, at the same time leaving unsatisfactory
evidence that their loss was her infinite gain. Her funeral was preached
the next day to a large, attentive audience, from Ecclesiastes xii 6,
7, by Rev. J. M. Ross. |
