Theodore M. Woodward (1900-1973)

Theodore Woodward

FRANKLIN - Theodore M. Woodward, of Dayton, husband of the former Miss Blanche Shiflett of Franklin, died of cancer at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at home after an extended illness.

Mr. Woodward was president of Woodward & Associates, Inc., in Dayton; vice president of New Era Corp., Dayton; and design and sales representative for Converto Manufacturing Co., Cambridge City, Ind. He was also the inventor and holder of numerous patents of aircraft and automotive equipment.

A native of Greenwich, Conn., and graduate of Yale University, he was a member of the Yale Club at Indianapolis and a charter member of the Aviation Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Air Force Association; National Association of Manufacturer's Representatives; and Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.

Surviving are his wife; and a brother, Everett of Houston, Tex.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Eaton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Price officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery County Society for Cancer Control, Fidelity Building, Dayton.
