Judge Charles R. White.
Latest dispatches contain little more than the mere announcement of the death of Judge White. The following is the brief telegram which carried the mournful news to Springfield:

"Thompson's Falls, Mon., July 29.
"Started last night on Train 4. Chas. died at 7 A.M. W. W. Keifer."

Physicians at Spokane Falls informed the Judge that death was certain if he remained there, and that if he attempted to return home he had about one chance in a hundred of accomplishing the undertaking. He took the one chance and lost.
