2 Sep 2004 | John Hartsock | Moses Walton was born June, 27, 1809, in Spring Valley, the son of Edward R. (1776-1867) and Deborah (Allen) (1775-1842), who were pioneers from Frederick or Shenandoah County, Virginia. His first wife, Mary Cook (1815-1844), was the daughter of John (1781-1861) and Dinah (Spray) (ca 1785-1844) Cook, who were pioneers from South Carolina and Pennsylvania, respectively. All four families were members of the Society of Friends. Moses and Mary’s children were:
