Hugh Carroll Ridge (1893-1957)

OBITUARY
HUGH C. RIDGE

Hugh C. Ridge, formerly of Waynesville, Ohio, aged 63 years, died on January 22, 1957, at West Palm Beach Florida.
He leaves his widow, Irene, and three children, Mrs. Patricia Murphy, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, John Ridge, M.D., Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Joanne Day, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; five grandsons, a brother, Kenneth C. Ridge; and his father, Oakley M. Ridge, both of Venice, California.

He enlisted at Lebanon, Ohio, in old "Company E of the 147th Infantry, 37th Division, Ohio National Guard" on July 8, 1917; was subsequently promoted to First Lieutenant and served in France from June 23, 1918 until March 28, 1919. Thereafter, he was honorably discharge from the Army on April 22, 1919.
