Transcription of undated 1882 obituary from an unknown newspaper submitted by Arne H Trelvik 11 June 2003
McLEAN - Suddenly at the Burnet House, on Friday, January 13th, at 6:30 o'clock A. M., Mrs. Sarah Bella McLean, wife of the late Judge John McLean.
The funeral services will take place at the Central Christian Church, Sunday, January 15th at 1:30 o'clock.
NOTE:
Sarah Bella Ludlow (1802-1882) was the daughter of Israel Ludlow and Charlotte
Chambers. Her first marriage was to Jepha Dudley Garrard, son of Gov. James
Garrard of Kentucky. Her second marriage was to Supreme Court Justice John McLean.
Sarah Bella McLean is buried in Spring
Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati as are both her her husbands and a number of
her children.
