Mrs. Ross Lawler, died at her home, some two miles and a half north west of town, on last Saturday morning, in the 36th year of her age. Funeral services at the M. P. Church, on Monday afternoon, Mrs. E. S. Oliver officiating. Mrs. Lawler was a daughter of William F. Dill, an old and honored citizen of Turtlecreek Township. She made a profession of religion at the age of 16, and joined the C. P. Church of this place. After her marriage with Mr. Ross Lawler, she united with the M. P. Church, in which communion she remained a very consistent and useful member until death. She leaves a husband and three little girls. They have the sympathy and well-wishes of her friends and acquaintances. She was a loving wife, an affectionate mother, a gentle and thoughtful friend. Peace to her memor

Isaiah Ross Lawler Passes To His Reward After Patient Illness – Grim Reaper’s Harvest
Warren County has been robbed of another one of its most estimable citizens with the passing of Isaiah Ross Lawler Wednesday evening. Funeral services were held from the Main Street Presbyterian Friday afternoon conducted by the pastor Rev. Floyd Poe.
This makes the second officer of the church to die within the past few weeks. Mr. Lawler was a splendid man, good citizen and highly respected by all.
The following obituary was read at the funeral services.
Isaiah Ross Lawler, sixth child of Moses and Elizabeth Lollar, was born March ___ 1838 and departed this life November 17, 1909, aged 71 years eight months and 15 days. His entire life was spent in Warren County, the last forty years on his farm Northwest of Lebanon.
In 1866 he was joined in marriage to Adriann Dill, three daughters blessed this union when the happy home was ______ of the wife and mother April 17, 1880.
He then with the tenderness and patience of a mother, considered no sacrifice to great in caring for his little ones and guarding the purity of the home.
When nineteen years of age his father died, and the responsibilities of a man fell upon the frail shoulders of this son, who was never known to disobey or shirk a duty. This perseverance, pluck and integrity characterized his whole life, in not many lives could be found so many of the Christian graces and so few vices.
In young manhood he became a member of the Methodist Protestant church later taking his letter to the Cumberland Presbyterian church where he held the office of trustee for several years and that of elder at the time of his death.
After several months of suffering borne with marvelous patience, he leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters, two grandchildren and one sister who resides in Nashville, Tenn.
