Mrs. Alma Kinney

Former Owner of restaurant dies

FRANKLIN - The former owner of Kinney's Dine Bar Cafe, Mrs. Alma Kinney, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Hospital in Cincinnati after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Kinney, 61, had lived for years at 11 W. Sixth St. next to the restaurant.  Recently she had been living with Mr. & Mrs. Robert Eaton in Springboro.
Mrs. Kinney and her husband, William Jr., who died in 1974, became involved in the family-owned restaurant in the mid-1930s.  Kinney's was started by her late husband's mother and aunt in 1933. Mrs. Kinney continued to operated the restaurant after her husband died.  It was sold several years ago but still operates under the same name.
She was a member of the Hamilton Elks and the Church of Christ of Franklin.
Survivors include two brothers, W. H. Caimes of Atlanta and W. W. Caimes of Decatur, Ga; and two sisters, Mrs. Berniece Caudill of London, Ky., and Mrs. Muzenta Childers of Franklin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home, the Rev. Leonard Ritz officiating.  Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
