Alfred Hudson
The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hudson died of lung fever on Tuesday, of last week and was buried on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Hudson have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.

The Grim Reaper.
Mrs. Dora Hudson died at her home in Chicago yesterday forenoon. She was
the daughter of Dr. Iler of Blue Ball, and the only sister of Mrs.
Scott McClellan, having been raised at Blue Ball she was consequently
well and favorably known in this city and vicinity. She was taken ill
four weeks ago, and two weeks later her sister from Blue Ball went to
her bedside and did all in her power to alleviate her sufferings but with
the approach of yesterday her spirit was called to the God who gave it.
Her bereaved father immediately left for Chicago and will make arrangements
to have her remains brought here for interment.

The remains of Mrs. Dora Hudson were brought to this city this morning
from Chicago by Dr. Iler and Mrs. Scott McClellan. The time of the funeral
has not been decided upon but will be either tomorrow or Friday. The remains
will be interred in the Middletown
cemetery.
Later - The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from Dr. Iler's residence.

George Hudson (1859-1938)

George Hudson, aged 79 years, former postmaster of Blanchester, in the
early part of the century under the Theodore Roosevelt and Taft administrations,
died Tuesday evening of last week at his home in Perris, Calif. For several
years he had been declining in health, his last illness being of a few
weeks’ duration.
Mr. Hudson will be well remembered by the older residents of this locality. He was born and reared a short distance south of Blanchester. In his early life he operated a livery stable at Morrow, and later on in Blanchester. He was for many years prominent in Republican politics in this section of Ohio. Many persons will probably remember his best as the owner of the famous race horse, Highland Queen.
A son, Ralph, served for 20 years in the navy and preceded his father in death two years ago.
The Hudsons moved to California in 1914, where he again served as postmaster at Perris until 1928. Mr. and Mrs. Hudson last visited in this community three years ago this summer, renewing old acquaintances in this section at the time.
Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Blanche Hudson, are a sister, Mrs. Mary F. Hutchinson, of San Diego, Calif.; three nieces, all living in California; and three nephews, Howard G. Hudson, of Wilmington; John Hudson, Jr., of Madisonville, and Elbridge L. Hudson, of Madiera.
Funeral services were held at Perris, Calif., on Friday Morning with interment at that place.
