Amanda Elizabeth Fry (1953-1858)

Amanda Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob and Mary J. Fry., was born in the year 1853, the 27th day of April, and died on the 6th day of November, in the year 1858, aged five years, 6 months and 9 days. In this dispensation of Providence, the hand of death has been permitted to come within the family circle and lay his grasp upon one that was lovely, loving and beloved. The loss appears to be very great to the parents. May heave grant unto them grace sufficient to this day of great trial, that while they sorrow in consequence of the departure of their dear child, they sorrow not as those that have no hope.

Death may the bands of life unloose,
But can't dissolve my love;
Millions of infant souls compose
The family above.

A funeral discourse was delivered on the occasion, by the writer. D. ANTRUM.
