Arnold J. Bothe

Franklin - Arnold J. Bothe, 58, died at 6:14 p.m. Monday at his home, 15 West Sixth St., following a heart attack.

A native of Lockland, Mr. Bothe had resided in Franklin and was a mill-wright at the Logan-Long Company the past 15 years. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church and of the Holy Name Society; a veteran of World War I and past commander of the Russell McElfresh American Legion Post 149.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Heckman Bothe; three sons, Pvt. James Bothe, stationed at the Army Chemical Center at Baltimore, Md., but home on leave; Seaman Richard Bothe, serving aboard the USS Eugene A. Greene, and Glen, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Justine Miller of Coral Gables, Fla., Mrs. Clementine Aerni of Cincinnati, Miss Loretta Bothe, of Cleveland and Mrs. Helen Richter of Hamilton. A brother, M. C. Bothe of Franklin, died March 12, 1952.

Requiem High Mass will be sung by the Rev. Nicholas Schneider at St. Mary's Church, Franklin, at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.

Members of the Holy Name Society will conduct services at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Unglesby Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
