Mr. Harry Leroy Black, was born October 8, 1891, and departed this life July 21, 1919, at the age of 27 years, 9 months and 13 days, being the youngest of a family of seven children born to Frank and Sarah Black of Fosters, Ohio. All survive him except one brother who preceded him in infancy.
He was a dutiful and loving son, and was respected and loved by all who knew him. After his marriage to Miss Helen H. Tanner, of Kings Mills, Ohio, May 22, 1915, they resided at Middletown where he was in service with the C. L. & N. Railroad, and in that service he remained till his death.
He was baptised in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he was also a member of Hope Lodge No. 16. I.O.O.F., of Middletown.
He leaves to mourn their loss, a father, mother, brothers, sisters, his wife and companion, a baby boy of 14 months and a host of friends.
The funeral oration was delivered by Rev. E. E. Rhodes pastor of the M.E. Church, of Maineville.

DIED—On Friday last, 13th inst., of cholera, after an illness of nine hours, Mrs. Martha Jane Black, wife of Rev. F. G. Black, in the 31st year of her age. The deceased was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years, a devoted Christian, and died prepared for a heavenly inheritance. She fulfilled well all the relations of life, viz: daughter, wife, mother, neighbor and friend, and her many virtues will long be remembered and cherished.
