Alta Bishop (1883-1941)

DEATH OCCURS AT BLANCHESTER
Mrs. Charles Bishop Was Former Franklin Resident

Services were conducted in Blanchester Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Charles Bishop, 57, former Franklin resident, who died suddenly Sunday night at her home near Edenton, Ohio, from a heart attack. Burial was in Blanchester.
Survivors are the husband, Charles, Blanchester; three brothers, Louis, Edenton; Bruce, Miamisburg; and Chester Barr, Blanchester; and a sister, Miss Nina Barr, Atlanta, Georgia.
Andrew Bishop, her father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Bishop, Mrs. Julia Hassett and Mrs. Jane Fisher, all of Franklin, attended the service

Charles Bishop Ends Own Life

Charles H. Bishop, 77, 20 East Second Street, Franklin, ended his life Saturday afternoon by hanging himself.
Bishop had lived here about 20 years, having moved here from Blanchester following the death of his wife, Alta, in 1941.
He had been retired several years and was a former employee of the Logan Long Company.
Survivors include a brother, John A. Ambrose, Middletown; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Fisher and Mrs. Julia Hassett, both of Franklin.
Services were held Tuesday at the Unglesby Funeral Home. Interment was in Woodhill Cemetery.

SPRINGBORO WOMAN DIES SATURDAY NIGHT

Mrs. Henry Bishop, 71, resident of Springboro most of her life, died Saturday night at her home near Franklin.
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Betz, of Springboro, Mrs. Glen Wade, Mrs. Frank Fears, and two sons; Emmett and Aetna all of Franklin, 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Springboro Methodist Church. Burial will take place in Springboro Cemetery.


RITES TUESDAY FOR FRANKLIN WOMAN
Mrs. Ida Bishop, 71, Expires At Home

Franklin, July 16 - Mrs. Ida Bishop, 71, wife of Henry Bishop, died on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock at her home after an illness of six months. She leaves besides her husband three daughters: Mrs. Edith Beltz and Mrs. Elizabeth Wade, both of Springboro and Mrs. Ethel Sears of Franklin; two sons, Emmet and Bud Bishop, both of Franklin.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Springboro at 2:30 o'clock. Burial in the Springboro Cemetery.
