Abner Bedell (c1795-1860)

Another of the Old Pioneers of Union Village Dead. - Abner Bedell, one of the founders of Shaker Village, died on last Thurday evening, aged 65 years. Abner was a good and exemplary man, and beloved by everybody who knew hem. He was the principal financial man of the society, and will be greatly missed by the brotherhood, as well as those having business with them. He was in our office a few days ago, appartently in good health. "In the midst of life we are in death."
