WILL OPEN FIRST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Mr. Arthur James, Who Graduated Here in 1911, Elected President. Rev. Robert Boyd Marshall of Springfield, Vice President. School Has Financial Backing That Means Success.

Lebanon University is taking on new life. Two young men of education, backed by enthusiasm and money, have taken hold fro the ensuing year. They know what Lebanon has done and they have great faith in its possibilities, consequently they are going to work with vim and vigor.

At a meeting of the trustees of the University on Monday night Mr. Arthur James who graduated from the university in 1911 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, was elected president. Mr. James has since taken the post-graduate degree of Master of Arts in the University of Cincinnati. Along with Mr. James his associate, the Rev. Robert Boyd Marshall, pastor of a Presbyterian church in Springfield, Ohio, was elected vice president. His duties will largely be those of a financial agent and a great deal of his time will be spent in raising money to meet the financial obligations of the school and at the same time having in mind an endowment to insure the University of a permanent income.

These gentlemen are welcomed to Lebanon and are assured that the citizens will be glad to boom the school. This is a splendid field for work and we believe a thriving and profitable school can be sustained.
