Miss Flo Wood, of east Mulberry, is visiting relatives in Manchester, Clermont county.

The Knights of Pythias, of Lebanon, assisted by the brethren of the Franklin lodge, the uniformed rank, in full regalia, met at their hall last Sunday afternoon and marched to the cemetery, where Mr. George W. Carey read the memorial address and the brethren all joined in decorating the graves of the fallen knights who rest there.

Messrs. Curry & Barnes, two gentlemen who recently came to Lebanon from the famous blue grass region of Kentucky, have leased the large store room under the Star office and are putting on its shelves a stock of first class groceries, every pound and package coming direct from manufacturer or wholesaler so that there is not a particle of stale goods in the store. They are pleasant gentlemen to do business with, as we know from experience, and are going on the safe principle of low prices and no open accounts. They will have something to say themselves later about the Star grocery.

Fred Earnhart, who was taken from Lake Erie so nearly drowned last week that the doctors authorized a statement that his life could not be saved happily surprised his Lebanon acquaintances last Saturday by appearing on the street with his spiritual parts pretty securely attached to his temporal body. Instead of his spirit taking its flight he recovered under the heroic efforts of the doctors, who did not stop their efforts to resuscitate him if they did say they had no show of success. By the way, it should be remembered that persons supposed to be drowned are often saved by persistent efforts a long time after they are submerged.
