Union Village The grand army of 600 men, which was to besiege Union Village on Thursday last to capture a couple of girls, who were unwilling to leave the Shakers, "fizzled out" like the late expedition of Gen. Lopez against Cuba. The presence of Sheriff Eulass and his posse, was sufficient to hold the invaders in check; no blood was spilled; no unlawful act was committed, and the vailants left the field with a profound respect for the supremacy of the laws! |
