We are happy again to announce that there is no cholera in Lebanon. There have been but two deaths, since our last publication, from other diseases, an infant child of Mr. Samuel Egbert and another of Elder Samuel Williams.

At Springborough, we regret to learn, the cholera is quite severe. A few weeks ago, Mr. Andrus died in the vicinity; two others subsequently, and during the last week Mrs. Hughes, a colored woman died of cholera and also a child of Mr. Morton. There are other cases but we have learned no particulars, except the disease has assumed a violent character.

The cholera has renewed its attacks at Waynesville—several deaths have occurred during the preceding week, and many others are now sick. Morrow is also suffering, and the disease still lingers in Salem and other parts of the county.

Under these circumstances, it will be wise for our citizens to heed the advice contained in the following notice for the Board of Health:

NOTICE.

In view of the great increase in our neighboring towns, Springborough, Waynesville and Morrow, of the Epidemic Cholera, the Board of Health would recommend to the citizens not to weary in well doing, but be vigilant and keep their out houses, alleys, &c. clean and well limed.

The would also recommend a total abstinence from the use of green vegetables, as it is the opinion of the people of the towns named above that the free use of them has caused the fearful increase in their towns.

J. P. Gilchrist, Chm.
J. B. Graham, Secy.
