OLD LAND MARKS. Dr. J. L. Mounts a few days ago filed with the county commissioners the following petition: The undersigned represents that be is interested in a county road established in the year 1826, petitioned for by Frank Howell and others, running from a place near the foot of the hill on the Lebanon and Fort Ancient road at a point near where Henry Hyser's tavern then stood, to what was then called Lockport, and that the line, beginning and true course of said road, have become uncertain from various causes, and application is hereby made for the appointment of three proper persons to review and find the same, and for a competent surveyor to survey the same and make a plat thereof, and correctly mark the road so far only as the same passes over the lands of the undersigned, and for such other proceedings relating thereto as may be found necessary and as authorized by law.
