A Surprise Dinner Mrs. Scott Pence very pleasantly entertained quite a number of relatives last Sunday, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pence, who recently returned from an auto trip to Niagara Falls. The affair was a complete surprise to them, but this made the occasion only the merrier, and they welcomed the congratulations and good wishes showered upon them. At the noon hour a bounteous dinner, from well filled baskets, was spread upon tables on the shady lawn and did justice to the delicies of the season. Mr. and Mrs. Pence were the recipients of mnay beautiful gifts of silver and china. Those present were: - Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pence, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Pence, Mr. and Mrs. Nat Welch and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Hastings and children, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley shields and children, Mr. and Mrs. John Brandenburg, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Mulford, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Burton, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ricker, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Brown and son, Mrs. Delia Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivins, Mr. Arthur Hatcher, Mr. Hugh Pence, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil PEnce, and Mrs. Scott Pence; Misses Mildred Ivins, Quilna Pence, Dorothy Ivins, and Nina Pence.
