O.S. & S. O. HOME STATISTICS GIVEN. Nearly twice as many children of veterans of the Spanish-American war, as children of veterans of the Civil war, are now inmates of the Ohio Soldiers' and Sailors' Orphans' Home, Xenia, Ohio. Of the 677 children now pupils at the institution 234 have Civil war veteran father; 401 are children of Spanish war veterans, and fathers of 42 served in the regular army or navy. The institution was originally built by the state for taking care of children of Civil war soldiers, killed or incapacitated in the service. It has accomodations for 1000 children. Those advocating establishment of the state hospital for crippled children
in the unsued nursery on the home grounds, set forth this fact, giving
