Two Franklin Men Are Knife Victims

Two Franklin men suffered injuries in a cutting late Saturday night and one was reported in serious condition at Middletown Hospital.

Victim of neck and right arm slashes was John Sally, Route 1, Union Rd., Franklin. His companion, Charles Thomas, 26, of 414 1/2 Anderston St., Franklin, suffered cuts of the left hand and was treated and released.

Thomas told police that he and Sally, along with a man and woman, probably man and wife, were at the Riverside Inn earlier in the evening. They left togethter and drove south through Middletown and turned around and came back. Near Tytus Ave. and Germantown Rd., Thomas said the man cut Sally and then Thomas got out of the car and ran. Thomas took Sally to a physician and he was then taken to the hospital.
