In both the purchases of the Ohio Company and Symmes, Section 29 in every township of six miles square was reserved for the support of religion.

Ministerial Fund.
The Trustees of Original Surveyed Townships four and five met on Monday, April 22, and distributed the funds to the churches entitled to draw the same, as follows:

THE MINISTRIAL FUND

Distribution of Interest Among the Churches

Mr. Ed Morris, for the trustees of the ministerial fund of township 4, range 3, section 29, M.R.S., has mad a distribution of one dollar and twenty cents per member residing in this district to the churches of the county. The figures given below do not give the total number of members of the churches but the number of those residing in his district and entitled to recognition in the distribution:
