Ludlum Coddington Wedding
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ludlum was the scene
of a very pretty wedding April 11, 1899. It being the marriage of their
daughter Hermione to Mr. Clyde Coddington.
The guests began to assemble at 3 o'clock, and at just past three Rev.
F. T. Swigget of Morrow, followed by the bridal couple,
descended the stairs and led the way to a beautiful bower of lace intermingled
with arbor vitae, myrtle, and beautiful plants in one corner of the parlor,
beneath which the solemn vows were spoken that made the happy couple husband
and wife.
After all had wished them a long and happy journey through life, they
were led to the dining room and each did his ample best in partaking of
dainty festivities spread before him.
Never did a queen look more dainty and beautiful than did the little bride
arrayed in lovely Persian lawn with lace insertion and white silk ribbon
trimmings. The groom looked handsome and noble in the conventional black.
None but the immediate families of the bride and groom were present, with
the exception of Miss Emma Stephens, of Wilmington, Miss
Mary Hoeken, of Morrow, and Miss Lolo Hill,
of the immediate vicinity.
Mr. and Mrs. Coddington will make their future home at the beautiful residence
of the groom's mother where they are now at home to their many friends.
