A GOLDEN DAY.
John L. Brown and Wife Have a Happy Time at Morrow

John L. Brown and wife, of Morrow, celebrated their golden wedding at their residence on the 7th of November. A large company assembled to honor the occasion, among whom were Mrs. George S. Gray, of Mt. Auburn, Cincinnati; the Mesdames Resor, of Clifton, Cincinnati, nieces of Mrs. Brown; A. N. Couden and wife, the Misses Jane and Lizzie Patterson, of Clarksville; Judge and Mrs. Mooar, of South Lebanon, and twenty or thirty others who partook of a bountifeast of good things, and had a most agreeable day. In the evening the young people called to pity their tribute of regard and esteem, and made merry until a late hour. Many golden tokens of appreciation of the givers found their way into the hands of the young couple, who bid fair to outlive many of their young guests. It is very seldom that one sees so hale and well preserved a couple retaining their vigor and comeliness to the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. Three children and seven grandchildren were present, while two of the sons, with several others of the grandchildren, were unable-to be present.
