Waynesville Couple Married at Newport.
Miss Virginia Reynolds, of Corwin, was married to Mr.
Bert Barlow, of Waynesville, at Newport, Kentucky, Thursday.
Miss Reynolds is only seventeen years of age, and because of her youth
the couple went to Newport. There also, the age of the bride was an obstacle
to the granting of a license. On the advice of the County Clerk the parties
telegraphed to Miss Reynold’s father, George Reynolds,
of Corwin, asking his consent to their marriage. Mr. Reynolds telegraphed
them to the effect that he was entirely willing the ceremony should take
place, and they were married by Squire Donelan, of Newport.
The newly married couple have both been employed by Mr. and Mrs.
Lou Stibbs, of Middlerun, and will continue to make their home
there.
Friday night their friends in that neighborhood joined in welcoming them
home with and enthusiastic belling.
