Daily Republican News, Hamilton, Ohio Saturday January 4, 1908 Page 7 TROUBLE IN LEBANON Prominent Society Woman Purses Negro Accuser LEBANON, Ohio, Jan. 4 - Claiming that Bert Robinson, a negro, had started rumors concerning relation between them, Miss Laura O'Neall, a prominent white society woman, and Webster Smith, her colored servant, armed themselves with revolvers and visited the home of Robinson last night, intent upon "a retraction or his life's blood." Robinson fled to the Court Magistrate Jameson, where he swore out a warrent for the arrest of the two on the charge of assault with intent to kill. They gave bond and will appear Saturday for trial. Smith has been the woman's servant for years
