This Indenture made this thirteenth day of December
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen
between Abram Van Vleet & Jacob Short of the County of Warren
and State of Ohio of the one part and James Veach of the
County and State aforesaid of the other part witneseth that
the said Van Vleet and Shorts for and in consideration of the
Sum of Seventy five dollars current money to them in hand paid
the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and forever acquit
and discharge the Said James Veach his heirs executors and
administrators have granted bargained Sold aliened and confirm
=ed and by these presents do grant bargain Sell alien and confirm
unto the Said James Veach his heirs and assigns for ever all that
lot or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Warren
and State aforesaid to wit: being a part of an in lot in the town
of Lebanon in Said County known and designa
=ted by number two hundred and twenty one, as is recorded on
the records of Said County and bounded as follows: to wit, beginning
fifty Six feet Six inches from the North west corner of Said lot:
thence twentyone feet east thence South five poles, thence west
twentyone feet, thence North five poles to the beginning, contain
-ing eighteen hundred and thirtytwo and a half square feet -
Together with all improvements, water courses, profits, and appurtenan
=ces whatsoever, to the said premises, belonging or in anywise apperta
=ining and the reversions, remainder and profits thereof, and all the
estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the Said
Van Vleet and Shorts of in and to the Same To Have and To Hold the
land hereby conveyed with all and Singular the premises and every
part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the Said
James Veach his heirs and assigns forever - And the Said Van Vleet
and Shorts, for themselves, their heirs, executors, and administrators, do
covenant promice and agree to and with the Said James Veach his heirs,
and assigns, by these presents, that the premises [he]re mentioned now
are and forever hereafter shall remain free of and from all men
and other grants, bargains, Sales, dowers, right and title of dower
Judgments, Executions titles, troubles, charges, and incumbrances, whatso=
ever done or Suffered to be done by them the said Vanvleet and Short,
And the said VanVleet & Short, and their heirs, all and Singular
the premises hereby bargained and Sold with t[remainder of sentence not on photocopy]

Said Van Vleet and Shorts, and their heirs, and all and every other
person or persons, whatsoever doth and will warrant and forever de=
fend by these presents. In Witness whereof the said Abram Van
Vleet & Catharine his wife and Jacob Shorts and Cathrine his wife
have hereunto Set their hands and Seals the day and year first
above written -

---------=teen hundred and eighteen personally appeared before me
the subscriber, a Justice of the peace in and for Said County the
above named Abraham & Jacob and the Said Abraham &
Jacob acknowledged that they did voluntarily Sign and
Seal and as their act and deed deliver the Said deed of con
=veyance for the purpose therein mentioned: And the said Cath=
rine & Cathrine wives afd. being by me examined Seperate and
apart from her husband and made known to the full con=
=tents of Said deed acknowledged and declared that She did vol
=untarily and of their own free will and accord Seal and as their
act and deed deliver the Said deed without any coertion or com
=pulsion of their husbands. Given under my hand and Seal
the day and year above written.
