  Know all men by these presents that whereas John St. John died
interstate seized in fee on hundred series of land in Warren
County being a part of the south west quarter of section ten the
fifth township of these or military range in Symimes Purchase be-
tween the Miami River. As my children and heirs Joseph St. John,
Bethia Hurin late Bethia St. John, James St. John, Jacob St.
John, Seth St. John, Nathaniel St. John, John St. John, Mary
Thomas late Mary St. John and Prudence Risk late Prudence St.
John and a widow Anna. Now be known that for us in consideration
that the said Joseph hath agreed to support and provide for his
said mother. Anna the widow of our said deceased father and in
consideration of eight hundred and thirty dollars by the said
Joseph to us the rest of his brothers and sisters in hand paid we
the said Bethia, James, Jacob, Seth, Nathaniel, Mary and Samuel
Thomas her husband, Prudence and William Risk her husband and
John St. John have released and quit all claim and do hereby re-
lease and quit claim to our said brother Joseph of in and to said
one hundred acres of land aforesaid owned by our father in his
life time and descending to us at his death. Aforesaid to have
and to hold to the said Joseph his heirs and assigns forever with
all the rents profits and advantage thereto belonging or in any
wise appertaining in witness whereof we have hereunto set our
hand and affix our seal the fourth day of November the year eigh-
teen hundred and twenty.

The state of Ohio Warren County-Before me a justice of the peace
in and for the county aforesaid personally came John St. John,
James St. John, Jacob St. John and Bethia Hurin wife of Othiniel
Hurin and acknowledge that they signed & sealed the same for the
uses and purposes therein mentioned & the said Bethia being made
known to the full contents of said deed and examined separate and
apart from her said husband declared that she made her said ac-
knowledgment without any fear coercion or compulsion of her hus-
band given under my hand and seal this 5th Nov 1820.

The state of Ohio Clark County-personally came before me the sub-
scriber one acting Justice of the Peace of the said County
Nathaniel St. John and Seth St. John and Samuel Thomas and Mary
Thomas and acknowledged that they signed the written deed for the
use and purpose therein mentioned and the said Mary Thomas being
known to the full contents of said deed and being examined sepa-
rate and apart from her said husband declared that she made her
said acknowledgment without and fear coercion or compulsion of
her said husband given under my hand and seal this 4th of May AD
1821.

The State of Indiana Franklin County Personally came before me
John Allen one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in and
for said county. Willism Risk and Prudence his wife acknowledged
that they signed the written deed for the use and purposes there-
in contained and with the purpose therein contained being fully
made known to the said Prudence. Given under my hand and seal
this the 16th day of December 1822.
