Adam Simonton, 115 acres to William Simonton dated 9 Dec 1800

This Indenture made the 9th day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred by and between Adam Simonton of Clermont County and State of Ohio of the one part & William Simonton of the same place of the other part, witnesseth that the said Adam Simonton for and in consideration of the sum of on hundred dollars lawful money to him in hand well & truly paid by the said William Simonton, before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt and payment of which the said Adam Simon [sic] (?Snider?) doth hereby acknowledge & thereof and therefrom doth acquit release exonerate and forever discharge the said William Simonton his heirs executors & administrators by these presents hath and doth hereby grant, bargain sell, alien, enfeoff, convey and confirm unto the said William Simonton his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County and State aforsd, Situate on the lower side of O’Bannons Creek; described as follows to wit, Beginning at a certain Buck (?Birch?) tree and Two Small oaks, on the Bank of the Said Creek, and on a line of a certain Joseph Carrington’s Survey, thence with hiz [sic] line S. 60°E.144 poles to a white walnut & two hickorys corner to Said Carrington, thence due East 67 poles to a Single Sugar tree and a dogwood Corner to William Wasons (?Mason’s?: I can’t tell which -- DNR)) Survey, thence with Wasons Line N.19 E. 100 poles to a locust & Sugar tree on the Bank of Said O’Bannons Creek; thence down Said Creek by its different meanders or courses to the place of Beginning, containing one hundred and fifteen acres more or less. To have & to hold the Said premises with all and Singular the appurtenances, Thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to the only proper use benefit & "behoof", of the Said William Simonton his heirs & assigns forever. And the Said Adam Simonton for himself, his heirs ___ & his administrators, covenant and grant unto and with the Said William Simonton his heirs executors administrators & assigns that he the Said Adam Simonton is lawfully and rightfully seized of the before.mentioned premises & every part and parcel thereof, and also that he the Said Adam Simonton hath good right full power & lawful Authority in his own right, to grant bargain Sell & convey the Same in manner & form aforsd.~, and the Said Adam Simonton for himself his heirs executors and administrators further covenant and grant unto & with the Said William Simonton his heirs executors administrators and assigns, that the before Mentioned premises with all and Singular the appurtenances, thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the Said William Simonton his heirs and assigns against the Said Adam Simonton, his heirs executors and administrators & every other person or persons Whatsoever, Shalt and will Warrant and by these presents forever Defend. In witness whereof the Said Adam Simonton hat hereunto set his hand and Seal, at his dwelling house the day and Year above written.
