This Indenture made this tenth day of May in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen Between George
Harnsbarger of the County of Warren and State of Ohio of the
one part and Adam Sellers
of the County of Warren and State of Ohio of the other part. Witnesseth
that the said George Harnsbarger for and in consideration
of the sum of four thousand five hundred and 50 dollars current money
of the United States to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby
acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Adam
Sellers his heirs Executors and administrators hath granted bargained
sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell
alien and confirm unto the said Adam
Sellers his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of
land lying and being in the County of Warren aforesaid. To wit, being
a part of section N. 6 Township N 3. Range N 4 between the Miami Rivers
Beginning at a stone N.E corner to Jacob Harnbarger’s
135 acres and running thence with the line thereof two courses S ½
E. 270 ½ poles to a stone N. 84 ¾ W. 83 poles to a stone
in the line of Higgons [premtion?] lot and
with it S. 51 poles to the south boundary line of the section and with
it correcting the course S 82 ½ E. 173 poles to a stone S.W. corner
to a preemption lot of 60 acres belonging to the heirs of Jacob
Chrisman a Sugar Tree 12 inches diameter bearing N 26 W 44 links
and another Sugar tree 14 inches N. 69 ½ W 41 links thence with
Chrismans and passing his corner N. 1-9” W. 323 ¾ poles to
the N.W. corner of 60 acres belonging to Daniel Bonnel
on the N boundary line of the section and with it correcting the course
N.82 W. 90 ¼ poles to the beginning containing two hundred and
six acres. Together with all improvements water courses profits and appurtenances
whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wire appertaining
and the reversions remainder and profits thereof and all the Estate Rights
title Interest property claim and demand of him the said George
Harnsberger of in and to the same to have and to hold the lands
hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and
parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said Adam
Sellers his heirs and assigns forever. And the said George
Harnsbarger for himself and heirs executors and administrators
doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said Adam
Sellers his heirs and assigns that the premises before mentioned now
are and forever hereafter shall remain free of and from all former and
other Gifts Grants bargains sales dowers Rights and title of dower judgments
Executions title traceables charges and encumbrances whatsoever done or
suffered to be done by him the said George Harnsbarger.
And the said George Harnsbarger and his heirs all and
singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances
unto the said Adam Sellers
his heirs and assigns against him the said George Harnsbarger
bind his heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever doth
and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. |

The State of Ohio Warren County. Before me the undersigned a Justice of the peace in and for said county personally came the within named George Harnsberger and Jane his wife and did severally acknowledge the signing sealing and delivery of the within deed of Conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. And the said Jane being by me examined separate and apart from her husband declared that she executed the same of her own free will and accord without any coercion or compulsion of her husband.
