This Indenture made the twenty first day of April in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty one between peter Nicely
and Lydia his wife of the County of Clinton in the State of Ohio of the first
part and George Long of the county of Warren & State aforesaid of the Second
part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum
of two hundred & twenty eight dollars of lawful money of the United States to them
in hand paid by the said party of the Second part the receipt whereof is hereby ac-
knowledged have granted bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed & confirmed & by
these presents do grant bargain sell enfeoff & confirm unto the said party
of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot tract or
parcel of land Situate lying & being in the county of Warren & State of Ohio
containing fifty acres be the Same more of less part of Survey No. 3798 and
bounded as follows to wit Beginning at the corner of Edward C. Johnsons line
in said Survey thence running North 45° E. 108 poles thence S. 45° E. 74¼
poles thence South 45° West 108 piles thence North 45° West 74¼ poles to the
place of Beginning Together with all and singular the hereditaments & appu
rtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining & the reversions & reve
sions & remainder & remainders rents issues & profits thereof and all the estate right title

Nicely & Lydia his wife the above named grantors & acknowledged the above
Indenture to be their voluntary act & deed. And at the same time the said
Lydia Nicely wife of said Peter Nicely being by me first examined seperate
& apart from her husband and made acquainted with the contents of the above
deed by having the same read acknowledged that she did sign the af?? deed (???)
doth acknowledge the same freely & voluntarily & without any fear force or coersion
of her said husband. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand &

eration of Fifty Dollars to her paid by Harper Long of the County and State aforesaid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby bargain, sell, and convey to the said
Harper Long his heirs and assigns forever, her undivided one ninth part of the fol-
lowing Real Estate, Situated in the County of Warren and State of Ohio and bounded and
described as follows, being part of survey No. 3798, and beginning at the corner of Edward
Johnsons land in the Said Survey; thence N.45° E 108 poles; thence S. 45° E. 74 ¼ poles;
thence S. 45° W. 108 poles, thence N. 45° W 74 ¼ poles to the beginning, containing Fifty
acres more or less, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belong
ing, To Have and To Hold the same to the said Harper Long his heirs and assigns for-
ever. The grantor her heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs
and assigns, that the Title So conveyed is clear free, and unincumbered by any act of

James and Jane Long to Peter C. Spurling

Know all men by these presents that I, James Long & Jane Long his wife
of the county of Warren & State of Ohio in consideration of eighty-five dollars
in hand paid by Peter C. Spurling of Warren county, Ohio the receipt where-
of is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and do by these pres-
ents grant bargain sell and convey to the said Peter C. Spurling his
heirs and assigns forever, the following described real estate to wit, the un-
divided one tenth part of a tract of land formerly owned by George Long
now (dec.) containing fifty acres be the same more or less, lying & being
in the county of Warren & state of Ohio a part of Survey No 3798 &
bounded & described as follows, beginning at the corner of Edward C. Johns-
tons land in said survey thence running north 45° East 108 poles thence
south 45° east 74 ¼ poles thence south 45 west 108 poles thence north 45°
west 74 ¼ poles to the place of beginning the aforesaid undivided one tenth
part. Together with all & singular the hereditaments & appurtenances to the
the (sic) same belonging together with all the right title & interest of the said
James Long & Jane Long his wife, to have and to hold the said premises to
the only proper use of the said Peter C. Spurling & his heirs & assigns for-
ever, and the said James Long & Jane Long his wife doth hereby cov-
enant with the party of the 2nd part that they are the true & lawful
owners of the said premises & have full power to convey the same & the pre-
mises are clear free & unincumbered & the said James Long & Jane Long
his wife who hereby relinquishes her right & expectancy of dower in &
to the said premises for themselves and their heirs executors and adminis-
trators will forever warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims
of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof, the said James Long and
Jane Long have hereunto set their hands & seals, this 31st day of Jan-
uary AD 1867

Long’s (?) land in said survey and running thence N 45° E 108 poles, thence
S 45° E 74 ¼ poles, thence S 45° W 108 poles, thence N 45° W 74 ¼ poles
to the beginning containing fifty acres more or less, Reserving the right
of dower of Sarah Long in the above described premises, And all the es-
tate title and interest of the said Peter C. Spurling either in law or equi-
ty, of, in and to the said premises; together with all the privileges and ap-
purtenances to the same belonging, and all the rents, issues and profits there-
of; to have and to hold the same to the only proper use of the said Sam-
uel Craig his heirs and assigns forever, And the said Peter C Spurling
for himself and for his heirs, executors and administrators, do hereby covenant
with the said Samuel Craig his heirs and assigns, that he is the true and
lawful owner of the said premises, and has full power to convey the same,
that the title, so conveyed, is clear, free and unincumbered; and further that
he will warrant and defend the same against all claim, or claims, of all
persons whomsoever. In Witness whereof, the said Peter C Spurling and A-
manda Spurling his wife who hereby release her right and expectancy
of dower in the said premises, has hereunto set their hands and seals, this

Sixty Dollars to them paid by Samuel Craig of the aforesaid County
and State the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby Re
mise, Release and forever Quit Claim to the said Samuel Craig his
heirs and assigns forever, their undivided one tenth part of the
following described Real Estate, situated in the County of Warren State of
Ohio, being part of Survey No ____ (sic) bounded as follows, on the
N.E. the land of Samuel Craig on the S.E. by the land of An=
drew Spence _ on the S.W. by the land of Adelia Cordell and on the
