This Indenture made the nineteenth day of March in the year of
our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and twenty three between John T. Jack and Eliza Jack his wife
of the county of Warren in the
State of Ohio of the first part and Richard
Simonton of the county and state aforesaid of the second part Wit-
nesseth that the party of the first part in consideration of the sum of one
thousand dollars of lawful
money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid by the said party of the second
part the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed
and by these presents do
grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said party of the second
part – his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in
the county and state aforesaid
containing sixty one acres of land to wit as follows being part of section No.
9 Town 5 Range 3 begin-
ning at Robert Hamilton’s southwest corner on said section line thence
North sixty poles to a stake
thence South eighty nine degrees 19 minutes West ninety two poles to a stake
thence South nine poles
and fourteen links to a stake thence eighty nine degrees 19 minutes West eighty
four poles thence South with
Section Line fifty poles eleven links to the south west corner of said section
thence North eighty nine degrees
nineteen minutes East one hundred and seventy six poles to the place of beginning
containing sixty one
acreas together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in any
wise appertaining, and the recursion and reversions, remainder and remainders
rents issues and profits there
and all the estate right title interest claim or demand whatsoever of the said
party of the first part either
in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments
and appurta
nances To have and to hold the said premises above particularly mentioned and
described to the said
party of the second part – his heirs and assigns to the sole and only
proper use benefit and behalf of the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever And the said John T.
Jack doth for himself
heirs executors and administrators covenant and grant to and with the said party
of the second part
his heirs and assigns that they the said John T Jack and Eliza his wife are
the true lawful and
rights owners of all and sinular the above described land and premises and every
part and parcel the
with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and that the said land and premises
or any part thereof at
the time of sealing and delivery of these presents are not incumbered by any
mortgage judgement or limitation or to
any incumbrances whatsoever by which the title of the said party of second part
– hereby made or intended to be made
for the above described land and premises can or may be changed charged, altered
or defective in any way whatever And also
that the said parties of the first part now have good rights-full power and
lawful authority to grant bargain sell and
convey the said land and premises in manner aforesaid also that they will warrant
secure forever defend the
land and premises unto the said Richard
Simonton and to his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims
and
demands of all and every person and persons freely and clearly freed and discharged
of and from all manner of incum-
brences whatsoeveth witness where of the said John T. Jack and Eliza his wife
have hereunto set their hand
and seals the day and year first written.

personally came John T. Jack and Eliza Jack the two within grantors the said
