J.H. CLINTON to JACOB DIEBOLD

 

Know all men by these Presents That James H. Clinton of the County of Warren and State of Ohio in consideration of Thirty three hundred dollars to him paid by Jacob Diebold of the County and State aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby Grant Bargain Sell and Convey to the said Jacob Diebold his heirs and assigns forever, the following Real Estate to wit. Situate in the County of Warren State of Ohio and bounded and described as follows. Being part of Survey Nos. 3795 & 3798, beginning at a stone corner to John Scheer’s thence with his line S.45-1/2°W.18 poles to a stone thence N.42-3/4°W.72.5 poles to a stake in a branch of Littles Run, thence up said run as it meanders ?S.?67-1/2°W17.2 poles to a honey locust, thence S.60-1/2°W.19.4 poles to an ash, thence S.37-1/4°W.10 poles to a stake, thence S.18S34.2 poles to a stake and white ash corner to Hills heirs, thence with their line S32°E78 poles to a white oak corner to said heirs land in Snells line, thence with his line N.36°E11.3 _ _ _ [sic] to a stake, thence S35°E.32 poles to a stake and hickory corner to Andrew Spence, thence with his line N.45-1/2°E98.4 poles to a stake and hickory corner to said Spence in the line of the aforesaid Scheer, thence with his line N37-1/2°W41.4 poles to the beginning. Containing Sixty five acres and one rood [sic], and all the Estate Title and interest of the said J. H. Clinton either in Law or Equity of in and to the said premises. Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging and all the rents issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold the same to the only proper use of the said Jacob Diebold his heirs and assigns forever. And the said J. H. Clinton for himself and for his heirs executors and administrators does hereby Covenant with the said Jacob Diebold his heirs and assigns that he is the true and lawful owner of the said premises and has full power to convey the same, that the title so conveyed is Clear Free and Unincumbered and further that he will Warrant and Defend the same against all claim or claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness Whereof the said J. H. Clinton has hereunto set his hand and seal this 13th day of December in the year of our Lord on thousand eight-hundred and seventy seven. (Grantor signed, sealed in presence of) Thornton Thompson & Edwin St. John.

The State of Ohio, County of Warren SS// Be it remembered that on the 13th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and seventy seven before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally came J. H. Clinton the grantor in the foregoing Deed and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to be his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Notarial seal on the day and year aforesaid. (Seal) Thornton Thompson, a Notary Public in and for said County.
