To all to whom these presents shall come. Be it known |

Page 60 Symmes equal in their estimated value to forty two thous- and eight hundred and forty seven Dollars did grant and convey to the said Jonathan Dayton and to his heirs and assigns forever by a Deed bearing date the thirteenth day of October, one thousand seven hundred and ninety four all the lands contained within the third entire third range of townships commonly called the Military Range, excepting only the five Sections numbered eight, eleven, sixteen, twenty six and twenty nine in every Township, originally reserved by Congress. Now therefore these presents do testify that the said Jonathan Dayton in virtue of the titles derived as aforesaid and in consideration of full satisfaction and payment made therefore, either in Warrants, certificates or specie, have granted conveyed and confirmed and do hereby grant, convey and confirm unto Doctor John Hole, of the County of Hamilton in the Territory North West of the River Ohio and to his heirs and assigns forever the equal two fourths parts of the Section numbered twenty three of the fourth Township in the third or Military Range, being the North East and South East quarters thereof and amount- ing to three hundred and twenty acres of land to Have and to Hold the said tract of land described as follows aforesaid with the appurtances unto him the said John Hole and to his heirs and assigns, to and for him and their only proper use, benefit and ____ forever, In testimony wherefore the said Jonathan Dayton have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and ninety six.
