Warren County ss
Personally appeared in open court John Sempy an applicant for naturalization who being sworn according to law deposeth and saith that he will support the constitution of the United Stated of America and that he doth hereby absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince potentate state of sovereignty whatever and particularly all allegiance and fidelity to his majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland &c. to whom he was a subject. And the said John Sempy further saith that he has never borne any hereditary title or been of any order of nobility in any country whatever
