Attestation of the Witnesses to the Will, John
Willis and William H. Bone dated 23 July 1879 |

Know all men that I, Jacob S Sellers
of the County of Warren & State of Ohio being of full age &
of sound disposing mind & memory do for the purpose of settling
& distributing my property with my children do publish this my
last Will & testament revocing all others by me heretofore made. |
First |
I order & direct that all my just debts: funeral expenses &
the expenses of settling of my estate be fully paid & sattisfied.

Second |
Whereas in the marriage of my present wife Sarah An Sellers
I received of her property One Thousand dollars I hereby will &
bequeath unto my beloved Wife Sarah Ann Sellers One
Thousand dollars & also all the property or money which she as
acquired or purchased with her own money since our marriage. I also
will & bequeath unto my said wife the sum of Three Thousand dollars
which said Three Thousand dollars is to be in lieu of dower. I also
give my said Wife one years support. |
Third |
I hereby Will & bequeath unto my grandson Jacob S.
Corwin One Thousand dollars. |
Fourth |
I hereby Will & bequeath unto my grandson Jacob Edwards
Two Hundred dollars |
Fifth |
Whereas I have heretofore given or advanced unto my children to
wit John M Sellers, Henrietta Lamb,
Jacob N Sellers & Martha Edwards
moneys for which I have taken there receipts & notes which said
receipts & notes are to be considered & accounted as so much
received of my estate in the settlement thereof by they are not to
be charged with intrest thereon. |

Sixth |
I hereby order & direct my Executor (to be named
hereafter) to proceed & sell & to convert into money all my
goods & chattels & all my real estate that I know own or may
own at the time of my death. The real estate to be sold in whole or
in parcels whichever way that will bring the most money, my Executor
is hereby authorized to make full & warrentee deed or deeds to
the purchaser or purchasers of said real estate. |
Seventh |
I hereby direct my Executor (to be hereafter named) to consult
with my heirs as to the advisability of selling my real estate at
public or private sale & to be governed by their advice or opinion
or the opinion of a majority of them. |
Eighth |
I hereby order & direct my Executor after he shall have sold
my estate both real & personal & have paid all my just debts
funeral expenses & the expenses of settling my estate & all
the bequests to my said Wife & to my two grandsons to divide equally
amongst my heirs to wit John M Sellers, Jacob N Sellers, Martha
Ann Edwards, James A Sellers & the heirs of Henrietta
Lamb to wit Susan L Lamb & Lucinda
C Lamb said heirs of Henretta Lamb to receive
what would have been their mother’s portion. |
Ninth |
I hereby constitute & appoint T. D. Morris
as the Executor of this my last Will & testament & to carry
out the provisions of said will in testimony whereof I have set my
hand |
