ALEXANDER McELHANY State of Ohio Personally appeared in open Court Alexander McElhiney an applicant for naturalization who being sworn as require by law deposeth and saith that he will support the Constitution of the United stated of America and that he doth hereby entirely and absolutely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty whatever, and particularly he renounces all allegiance and fidelity to his Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland to whom he was last a subject. And the said Alexander McElhiney further saith that he never bore any title or order of nobility either in the Country of he was last a subject or in any country whatever.
