Administrators Bond dated 28 Aug 1827 (from Old C.P. Box 40 No. 14)

Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Evans, Henry Hyser & James Bone of the county of Warren and state of Ohio, are held and firmly bound unto the state of Ohio, in the sum of three hundred dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and each of us jointly and severally, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents: Sealed with our seals at Lebanon the 28th day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty seven.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that, whereas the court of Common Please within and for the county of Warren, on the 23rd day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty seven granted letters of administration on the estate of William Evans deceased, unto the above named Thomas Evans.

Now if the said Thomas Evans administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights, credits, monies and effects which were of the said William Evans at the time of his decease, shall well and faithfully perform all the duties required of him by law, then this obligation to be void and of no effect, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virture,

attendc during the last illness of his father he
being administrator of the estate.
